Bio

I have always loved doing art, and I was lucky to have people in my life along the way that encouraged me. I credit my parents for my early interest in art. Every Christmas when I was a kid, my parents gave me a sketchbook and a new set of markers and crayons.

Later, my high school offered drawing and painting courses, and my teacher, Ms. McCord, made me feel like I could do anything. I love her for inspiring me. She gave me the idea to major in art while at college, and my first thought was, "Can I really get a degree in something so fun?"

After graduating high school in 1997, I attended Brigham Young University to study painting and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

I worked on a mural team while I was in college, and we painted 10 murals for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. These murals are now displayed in LDS temples around the world: Lubbock, Texas; Monterrey, Mexico; Campinas, Brazil; Snowflake, Arizona; Columbia River, Washington; Brisbane, Australia; Redlands, California; Accra, Ghana; Aba, Nigeria; and Manhattan, New York.

I have a studio at home and spend my time doing what I love... ART!
